Savanna Best, 20, residing in South Bend, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, August 18, 2016 in Elkhart. She was born March 24, 1996 in South Bend to Quintin Kennedy Best and Stefanie (Rollins) Ross, and remained a lifelong area resident. Savanna was preceded in death by her father, Quintin Best; grandfather, Gary Rollins; and grandmother, Donna Best.
Savanna is survived by her mother, Stefanie Ross, and stepfather, Anthony Ross, of South Bend; sisters, Remi Ross of South Bend; Aiden and Peyton Best, both of Niles, MI; stepsister, Tyler Herczeg of Carmel, IN; and stepbrother, Christopher Herczeg, also of Carmel, IN; maternal grandmother, Alina Rollins of Divide, CO; paternal grandfather, John Best of Dowagiac, MI; and maternal great grandmother, Julia Trepak of Crestview, FL; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Savanna was very smart and had a creative mind, calm and peaceful personality and a contagious sense of humor. She was very focused and knew what she wanted in life. She enjoyed a healthy organic lifestyle and was always willing to help others. She enjoyed spending time with her family and shopping trips with her little sister, Remi. Savanna also had a special love for all animals, especially her cat and her rabbit. She will be unbearably missed by all who knew her.
Funeral services for Savanna will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, August 25, 2016 in the Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend. Pastor Bob Vale will officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family from 12:00 noon until service time on Thursday in the funeral home.
