Sharon Renee Allen

Sharon Renee Allen, 46, passed away suddenly on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at St. Mary Medical Center in Long Beach, California. Sharon was born on September 8, 1971 in South Bend, Indiana to Luther Allen, Sr. and Helen (Alexander) Allen, both of South Bend.

Sharon was a faithful member of Antioch Church of Long Beach and served as a teacher at Tutor Time Learning Center for many years. She was a Kingdom Kids Ministry and EOP Dance Ministry leader and was a member of the Praise Team. Sharon was the beloved mother of one daughter, Brittany Clay of Long Beach and a beloved aunt, sister, daughter and friend.

Sharon is survived by her parents and daughter; four siblings: Patricia Louise Allen of South Bend, Marie Allen of South Bend, Vera Nicole Allen of Snailville, Georgia and Luther Allen, Jr. of Kent, Missouri; aunties Viola Metcalf and Ernestine Minor; uncle William Allen and his family of Arkansas, as well as a host of extended relatives, friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services for Sharon Allen will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Berean Seventh-day Adventist Church, 601 W. Colfax Avenue, South Bend. Pastor Julius Everett will officiate. Friends may call on the family for visitation for one hour prior to service at the church. Palmer Funeral Homes - West Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
