Sheryl D. (Mahony) Drutis

Sheryl D. Drutis, 60 years old, of Mishawaka, IN passed away Sunday, August 23 at 9:00 PM at Hospice House - Elkhart, IN.  Sheryl was born on May 25, 1955 in Chicago, IL to George and Donna (Meier) Mahony. 

In addition to her parents, George and Donna Mahony, Sheryl is survived by her fiancé, Mike Englebert of Mishawaka IN; three daughters, Melissa (Ricky) Siri of Indianapolis; Lindsay (Ryan) Noward of Birmingham, MI and Ashley Drutis also of Indianapolis; and five grandchildren, Annabelle, Emery, Ellia, Olivia and Lily.  She is also survived by two sisters, Kelly Thiel of Bradenton, FL and Debbie (Nic) Galati of Avalon, NJ; two brothers, George Mahony and Brian (Maggie) Mahony both of Kissimmee, FL; and many nieces and nephews. 

Sheryl is a graduate of Purdue University in Hammond where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in teaching.  She was employed by United Airlines for 13 years in their reservations department.

Sheryl loved to laugh, dance, garden, play sports, travel the world, help others and spend time with her family. She was a devoted mother, loving fiancé, compassionate daughter, caring sister, dedicated aunt and wonderful friend. Sheryl was a real hero and true inspiration to all.

Funeral services for Sheryl will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at the River Valley Community Church; 55855 Bittersweet Road; Mishawaka, IN, officiated by Pastor Rick Callahan.  Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the church.  Palmer Funeral Home – Guisinger Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
