Tha Koet

Tha Koet, 59, of Elkhart, IN passed away at 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Elkhart General Hospital, Elkhart, IN.  She was born on May 10, 1956 in Cambodia to Tum Ouch and Eang Keam.  She was united in marriage in Cambodia to Ky Hang.

Mrs. Koet is survived by her husband, Ky Hang; children, Hoeuth Hang of Elkhart, IN, Komsoth Hang of Cambodia, Him Hang of Elkhart, IN, Sopheap Hang of Elkhart, IN, Bunnheang Hang of Cambodia, Sophea Hang of Chicago, IL and Veassna Tith Hang of Elkhart, IN; twenty-one grandchildren; three sisters and one brother and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Koet is Buddhist and always was committed into Cambodian communities such as the Cambodian Association of Illinois, Watt Khmer Metta, Watt Khemararam and others in Chicago areas and neighboring states.

Mrs. Koet enjoyed shopping, fishing, camping, picnicking, road trips, cooking, gardening and loved to be out spending time with her family.  Her family was the most important thing in her life.  She always enjoyed it most when all her kids and grandkids came together to cook and enjoy a feast and each other company.

Services will be held from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Saturday, February 6, 2016 at Palmer Funeral Home-West Chapel, 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend, IN.
