I had Thomas in freshman p.e. class. He was a nice, boy who always gave us his best effort and had a positive attitude! My favorite memory is how fast he was! During the track and field unit, his speed showed and his class period made sure he was a part of the top 2 relays teams to compete against the other classes! I'm glad I had the pleasure of knowing him and I've been thinking of he and your family. Hugs to you all!

My heart goes out to David, Heather and the Pickens family and friends of Thomas in your time of sorrow. I know Thomas has left you with many precious memories from his 15 short years with us. When death robs us of someone we love very much, it causes much sadness and grief. Our loving heavenly Father, "Jehovah (Psalm 83:18) is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit." (Psalm 34:18) Isaiah 33:24 guarantees us: "And no resident will say "I am sick," ever again. Revelations 21: 4 says: "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore." The family is in my prayers and I offer my heartfelt condolences. Feel free to me contact me at my email address: myranj@centurytel.net

They Say
By: Ron Tranmer
They say I'm sorry for your loss
They say your heart will mend
They say you're in a better place,
and death is not the end.
They say you're reunited
with loved ones gone before.
They say that you'll be waiting
when I walk through heaven's door.
I feel their love in every word
of comfort they impart,
and know that each is spoken
from deep within the heart.
But all the words of comfort,
though kind, sincere, and true,
can't take away the emptiness
I'm feeling without you.

This a very heartbreaking experience. Parents should never have to bury one of their children. With this being said the Todd family offers their sincere condolences, thoughts and prayers.

I know what your going through I lost my Son when he was 13. It is the hardest thing a parent faces for sure. Give it all to God that is the only thing that will help. I know at this time your asking God why, why, why??? You will know the answer it was his time but that is not enough. I don't like the answer it was his time. I was told well you can have more kids that takes a cold person to say that. I couldn't have anymore kids and sure could not replace my Scotty. God Bless you family my heart hurts for you!!

Thomas our lives will never be the same without you. I have shed so many tears for you and until now they have been tears of joy. The day your mother told me that she was expecting, the day I was honored to be your delivery nurse and be the first to hold you, I hugged you so tightly before putting you under the warmer, I got to swaddle you and be the first to put you in your mother's arms, which again made me cry. You were such an ambitious and smart little guy growing up, sometimes a bit ornery (which boy isn't?). Then suddenly, over the last few years I realized how amazing your parents were in cultivating what made you, you. You amazed me with your veracity for reading, researching war memorabilia, your unique (yet awesome) taste in music...Johhny Cash & Willie Nelson, you seriously rocked. You and your mama shared a love of sifi & reading. Your father taught you everything about cars and inspired your passion (not to mention you were probably a better mechanic :)
(Finally, the the beautiful little girl who came late enough in your life when you can truly truly enjoy her and you quickly became her hero Boo Boo. I love you so much and I am going to miss you so much during my earthly life but we will reunite again in heaven...By the way, your dad and I have a brother up there your age with similar interest. You will recognize him because he looks like me super cute, plill! Goodnight my dear Thomas I would pray for one more hug but instead rest assured I will be bugging the crap out of your mom, dad and Maggie and taking advantage of all the hugs I can mustre!

We a truly saddened by the passing of your son, as parents that is our greatest fear, that they go before us. We didn't get to meet or know him, but through you we have seen some of who he was. Be strong, and have faith that you WILL see him again with your heavenly Father. God bless, prayers for you and yours are continuous!!
