Great memories from the Meiss household both out on Prairie then later on the south side. Mr. Meiss always with a smile and laugh putting up with the shenanigans of his sons and their friends of which I was privileged enough to be one of. Love and peace to Mrs. Meiss, Bill, John, the grandkids, and to my good friend Jim. Love to you, brother.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Meiss (Willies) passing. I have many great memories of him from back in the day at Greene School. He was a great teacher and a great member of the community and he will be missed. I always remember how much he loved the baseball playoffs and world series. I also remember him talking to me about how the local farm crops looked and how many cuttings of hay would be reaped that year. I also remember that he taught us how to run the weave drill in basketball practice which was no small feat with elementary school boys. Rest in peace Willie, see you on the other side.

Sorry to hear about Mr. Meiss' passing. He was good coach and even better teacher. He was my baseball and basketball coach at Greene school in 1966. He will be missed.

We regret that we will be unable to attend Willie's memorial service. He was a wonderful neighbor and took good care of Henrietta for many years. You have our deepest sympathy and prayers.
