To the Jones/Parker families: My heart was so heavy to hear of the passing of Yvonne. As I have been around your family for over 40 years because of me and Dorothy's bond, I feel as though I lost my sister. I regret that I hadn't had the chance to see her much since I had moved away to Washington. But I saw her a few years back and she told me that my Godson, Dion, was getting married. She looked simply wonderful! She had that same smile, that same laugh, that same demeanor. She hadn't changed one bit. She was so beautiful!!! When Dorothy and I were young, I would go over to her house all the time when Dorothy babysat Aisha. Then when her and Greg got married, and at Nene's and 'Tone's births -- I was there. I'm family! So I would like to take this time to send my condolences to MY family. To encourage you all to hold on as we grieve the lost of our sister, Yvonne. "To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." Know that my family and I love you all and that you will be in our constant thoughts and prayers as we pray that God comforts, sustains and keeps you throughout this time and thereafter.
