NEW CARLISLE – Zachary William Johnson, 29, of New Carlisle, Indiana passed away Thursday, April 12, 2018 in South Bend, Indiana.

Zachary, also known as “ZacDB” was born on September 26, 1988 in Michigan City, Indiana.  Zachary is a 2007 graduate of Michigan City High School.  He was a former insurance salesperson and enjoyed spending time fishing. Zachary had a talent for and loved to draw. 

Zachary is survived by his parents, Mark and Tara  Konya and Bob (Roni) Johnson, and; his son, Broly Johnson; sister, Bree Johnson of Michigan City; brothers, Gabe Konya and Leo Konya, both of New Carlisle.  He is also survived by maternal grandparents, Norman and Armella Reuber, and Sherry Konya.  Zachary was preceded in death by his brother, Nathan Johnson; maternal grandfather, William Downey; and paternal grandfather, Danny B. Johnson, Sr.

Memorial services for Zachary will be held at 1:00 PM CST on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at the New Carlisle Wesleyan Church, 32645 Early Road, New Carlisle, IN 46552, with one hour of visitation prior, beginning at 12:00 PM CST.  Memorial contributions may be made to Palmer Funeral Home, 2528 Mishawaka Ave, South Bend, IN 46615 for Zachary’s son, Broly Johnson.   Palmer Funeral Homes, South Bend is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
