Harvey H. Hoover, Sr.
May 30, 1928 - March 4, 2013
Harvey H. Hoover, Sr. "Pop", 84, residing in South Bend, IN passed away at 6:52 AM Monday, March 4, 2013 at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka, IN.  Harvey retired in 1989 from Roto Rooter after 36 years of service.  He was born on May 30, 1928 in South Bend, IN to the late William J. and Pearl (Rolf) Hoover and remained a lifelong resident.  On May 27, 1950 in South Bend, IN he married Alice E. (Clymer) Hoover, who preceded him in death on March 10, 2006.
 
Mr. Hoover is survived by his daughter, Cindy (Terry) Francis of South Bend; seven sons, William, Timothy, Michael, Rick, Russell, Kevin and John Hoover all of South Bend; nine grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; one great-great grandson; and one sister, Florence (Don) Ingle of South Bend..  One son, Harvey Hoover, Jr.; four sisters, Alice Turner, Dorothy Silvers, Mabel Hoover and Beatrice Hoover; and four brothers, Kenny, Jim, Raymond and Herbert, all preceded Harvey in death.
 
Harvey served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed scratch off and lottery tickets, country music, playing cards especially Solitaire.  Harvey loved spending time with his family.
 
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday,  March 7, 2013 at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave, South Bend.  Rev. Kenny Rogers will officiate.  Burial will follow in St. Joseph Valley Memorial Park, Granger, IN.  Friends may visit with the Hoover Family from 4:00-8:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home.
