I married into the family nearly 25 years ago as the second wife to Gregory D. Seifer (Virgil Jr.'s son). We took several trips to Cincinnati, Ohio at which time we stayed with Betty & Fred. I loved them from the start and they made me feel like a daughter. I had the pleasure of holding Betty's hand for over an hour this past Sunday (prior to her passing) and I teased her about getting out of that bed and making her famous "chicken & dumplings". As we were leaving I told her I'd have to go home and cook, since she wasn't getting up to make dinner for me. She patted my hand and said, "Next time". I'm saddened at her passing but rejoice that she is where she wanted to be, "with dad and son, Tod". She will be missed.
