Catherine Duncan Obituary

Catherine Duncan, born February 28, 1927, died July 1, 2022, peacefully at home with family. She attended Central High School, and Indiana University South Bend campus, where she became Director of Human Resources. She was very active in local theater, appearing in productions at IUSB, South Bend Civic Theatre and Presbyterian players. Cathy was married to Wayne Duncan and later Jim Coppens, both preceded her in death. She enjoyed world travel and shared that with her daughters. Surviving Catherine is brother, David Hack; sister, Mary (Roland) Bautzmann; daughters, Cyd (Ken) Schwertz, Patricia (Joe Walters), and Julie Duncan. Her son, Tom (Wendy) Holden, passed away in 2016. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Rosemary (Shawn), Mary Catherine (Vincent), Isabella (Iain), Cliff, Ben, and great- grandchild, Tucker. Per Cathy's request, there will be no services. Cathy Duncan will live in our memories as the sparkling life she was.
