Linda Cribbs Obituary

Linda K. Cribbs of Plymouth Indiana entered the arms of our loving savior on April 9th, 2024. Linda was born on March 22nd, 1947, in Logan County West Virginia to the late Eugene and June Abbott. She was one of 10 children in which she was the eldest daughter. When asked about her past, she would talk about how she enjoyed listening to Loretta Lynn growing up; especially since she herself was a coal miner’s daughter. She married her loving husband Charles L. Cribbs in October of 1984.

Linda was a hard-working woman, doing mostly hard labor jobs throughout her life as well as raising her headstrong son Robert. Once she retired, the hard labor did not end as she took on the role of “Mawmaw”. Not only did she have a major hand in helping with her grandchildren but was also very involved with her great grandchildren as well. Our Mawmaw was a stubborn woman who had a unique way of showing her love but at her core, she was someone who would give you the shirt off her back, the change in her pocket, or had extra space for you to stay if you needed it.

Linda is survived by her husband Charles, son Robert (Tabitha) Jones, grandchildren Kevin Jones, Kennedy (George) Grossman, Katlin (Joshua) Jones, and Kole Jones, and 6 great-grandchildren all of Plymouth Indiana. She is preceded in death by her parents, several siblings, and stepson Chuck Cribbs.
