Miriam Adele Dunkleberger

Miriam Adele Dunkleberger, age 98, of South Bend, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2022 at the Acres of Indiana.

Miriam was born on August 10, 1923 in Kokomo, Indiana to the late Francis M. and Anna Mabel (Leeds) Rush. She married the late Jesse Dunkleberger on July 24, 1946 in Richmond, Indiana.

She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, John Kronewitter; a daughter-in-law, April Dunkleberger; three sisters, Iva Youngman, Elnora Addington, and Mary Hollis; and two brothers, Ople Rush and Edgar Rush. 

Miriam enjoyed ceramics, flower arranging and crafting.

Miriam is survived by her children: Anna May Kronewitter of Mishawaka, IN;  Cara Sue (Dana) Keeton of South Bend, IN; James Wesley (Carol) Dunkleberger of Gulfport, MS; and Daniel Dee Dunkleberger of Kansas City, MO. She is also survived by six grandsons, 14 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 4:00-7:00p.m. at Palmer Funeral Home – Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, IN. The family will have a private funeral service with interment at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka. Palmer Funeral Homes – Bubb Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
