Steve Galvan Obituary

Steve I. Galvan, 65, of South Bend passed away on Monday June 5, 2023 at his home.

Steve was born on October 11, 1957 in Sterling, IL to the late Manuel and Consuelo (Morales) Galvan.

After graduating from High School, Steve served his country in the United States Army.

Steve loved the Chicago Bears and Notre Dame Football. He enjoyed 70's rock and country music. He used to enjoy tinkering with older cars and quizzing you on the make and model whenever a classic car drove past. He was always the “life of the party” and will be sorely missed by his family.

Steve is survived by his son, Jason Galvan of Sterling, IL, his granddaughter Aleea Galvan, his brother Tim Galvan of Knightstown, IN, his sisters Esther Leal of Rock Falls, IL, Diane (Fred) Aguilar of Sterling, IL, Theresa (John) Moser of Sterling, IL as well as many nieces and nephews.

Steve was preceded in death by his parents and one son; Stevie Smith.

Steve’s family would like to especially thank Andrea Nemeth and the Center for Homelessness in South Bend for their love and support of Steve.
