Aaron Woods Jr.

On June 22, 1980, Aaron Woods Jr. was born to Aaron Sr. and Gwendolyn Woods. Aaron was born in  Chicago, IL, where he spent most of his life, growing up on the South Side of Chicago. Aaron got his first job at 16 and turned into a hard-working young man and while also continuing his studies at Harper High School, where he graduated in June 1998. On April 27, 2000, Aaron became a father to Deont'e D. Woods. He moved to South Bend, IN, where he later met the love of his life, Cynthia D. Johnson-Woods. The two started dating in 2003 and later wed on December 18, 2010 and combined families as one.

Aaron was an amazing husband, Paw-Paw, son, father, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many. Aaron was known to his family and friends by many names: Nookie, Nuke, Nukecity and Nuke Boogie. Aaron was very passionate about music, where he spent countless hours in the studio, rapping and influencing everyone that came over to get in the "booth". He produced for many. Aaron was employed at Patrick Metals from 2006-2018. On Tuesday, February 6, 2018, an angel gained his wings and was called home to heaven. He leaves to cherish his wife, Cynthia D. Johnson-Woods, his parents, Aaron Sr. and Gwendolyn Woods (of Schaumburg, IL), his children: Deont'e D. Woods, O'lontae W. Johnson, Cynthia D. Branch, Oleishia A. Branch, Arthur J. Sudduth, Phylicia R. Johnson, Anton D. Johnson and Tori D. Johnson; his brother Devon Woods (LaToya Johnson) of Chicago, his sister Gale L. Shaw (Carl Shaw) of South Bend; his grandchildren David (Pooda-man) Wright Jr., Hamoni R. Sudduth, R'Nya R. Henderson, Angel J. Grundy and Ty'Shaun A. Grundy; special niece Saquia Q. Hudson; special nephews Tykee D. Beauford and Tyrone A Beauford; his great-niece Kee'Shia K. Beauford, his great nephew Tykee Jr.; one godson, Saevion A. Hughes and a host of aunties, uncles, cousins and friends. Aaron was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ralph Prince and Eloise Jones; his paternal grandparents, Ernest Coleman and Ora Lee Woods and mother-in-law Jean C. Johnson. Aaron will be deeply missed by family and friends. 

Services for Aaron will be held on February 16, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Homes - West Chapel, 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend. Friends may call on the family for visitation for one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the family of Aaron Woods Jr. care of Palmer Funeral Homes.
