Adeline C. (Nadolny) Wharton

Adeline C. Wharton, age 87, of South Bend, IN passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018. Adeline was a beloved homemaker and a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary #1167, Daughters of Isabella, the Polish Women’s Alliance of America, Golden Cluster of St. Hedwig's and St. Stanislaus B&M Harvest House.

Adeline was born June 28, 1930 in South Bend, IN to Stanley and Catherine Nadolny, who preceded her in death. On January 13, 1951, she married Kenneth R. Wharton at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in South Bend, IN. Adeline is survived by her husband Kenneth; sons Kenneth Wharton of South Bend, George Wharton (Beth Pomery) of Elkhart, IN; grandchildren Jennifer (Ron) Moorehouse, Jeff W. Wharton, Matthew (Jennifer) Wharton, and Amber Pavlov; and eight great grandchildren. Adeline was preceded in death by her son Jeffrey T. Wharton, her granddaughter Melissa Wharton, three sisters, and two brothers.

A memorial mass for Adeline will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church, 2310 E. Jefferson Blvd., South Bend, IN 46615. Father David Ruppert will officiate. Friends may visit with the family two hours prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Polish Cemetery in South Bend, IN.
