Alice D. Miller, age 83, residing in South Bend, Indiana passed away at 2:25 am Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Cardinal Nursing Home, South Bend. She was born on July 1, 1934 in South Bend, Indiana to the late John Francis and Florence Sophie (Andrysiak) Przybylski and remained a lifelong resident.
On September 16, 1961 in South Bend, IN, she was united in marriage to Loran “Skip” Miller. He preceded her in death on November 29, 1993. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Victoria M. McGrew, and Marie Wlodarski, and two brothers, John Przybylski, and Frank Przybylski.
Alice is survived by her daughter, Gail (Kevin) Szucsits of South Bend and her son, David A. (Lorra) Miller of South Bend; ex-daughter-in-law, Judy Miller; eight grandchildren, Maran Davila, Jamie Minder, David Miller, Carrie Miller, Justin Szucsits, Dustin Miller, Daniel Miller, and Danielle Szucsits. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren, and a brother, Bert (Jeanne) Przybylski of South Bend. She is also survived by her longtime companion, her dog, Sandy.
Alice retired as a brake assembler with the Bendix Corporation after 31 years of employment. She later worked at Target for nine years. As an avid Notre Dame fan, she worked there for five years. As a result of Alice’s faith in the Lord the family remained very close. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, South Bend; and a longtime member of the Moose Lodge Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards, Bingo, and Yahtzee.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00pm on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2018 at Palmer Funeral Home-Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, where the family will receive friends from 10:00a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Entombment will take place in Riverview Mausoleum, South Bend.
