Angelia "Angie" Faye (Arter) Bjork

Angelia “Angie” Faye Bjork, 49, residing in South Bend, Indiana passed away Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at her home.

Angie was born on October 3, 1968 in Mishawaka, Indiana to Ralph Michael Arter and Marilee (Brinson) Hernandez and has been a lifelong resident of this area.  Her mother, Marilee Hernandez, has preceded her in death.  Angie previously worked with Environmental Services at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka.  As a “Social Butterfly,” she enjoyed spending time with her many wonderful friends.  She also loved to dance.

On September 7, 2013 in Mishawaka, Indiana she was united in marriage to David E. Bjork of South Bend, who survives.  She is also survived by her father, Ralph M. Arter, of Edwardsburg, Michigan; two daughters, Candice Renee Means of Lexington, Kentucky, and Kayla (Steven) Brooks of Irvine, Kentucky; two sons, Mark Allen Harper of Louisville, Kentucky, and Joshua Harper of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; along with five grandchildren.  Also surviving are three sisters, Christina “Tina” McNatt of Edwardsburg, Michigan, Rebecca Humble of Elkhart, Indiana, and Stacy Youell of Michigan; and brother, Ralph Michael “Mike” (Denise) Arter, Jr. of Goshen, Indiana.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Angie’s 50th Birthday, Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 4:00-7:00 PM at Yellow Cat Café, 808 E. Colfax, South Bend, IN 46617.  Time will be announced.  Memorial contributions may be made to Palmer Funeral Home River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615 to assist with funeral expenses, or American Cancer Society of North Central Indiana, 130 Red Coach Drive, Mishawaka, IN 46545, or Pet Refuge, 4626 Burnett Drive, South Bend, IN 46614.  Palmer Funeral Home and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family on this webpage.
