Bette J. Shelton

Bette J. Shelton, 75, of South Bend, IN passed away at 12:05 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2018 at her home.  She was born on April 16, 1943 in Henderson, KY to the late Edgar Allen and Mae "Louise" (Martin) Hicks.

Bette is survived by four sons, Billy R. Allen of Harrisburg, IL, Joey Kiefer, Danny (Dawn) Shelton and Richie (Brandy) Shelton of Elkhart, IN; twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Wayne and James "Bud" Allen.

Bette lived most of her life in South Bend.   She worked as a cook at the University of Notre Dame for several years. 

Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family.
