Betty Joan Bruntz

Betty Joan Bruntz, 82, of South Bend, IN passed away at 4:05 p.m. Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Sanctuary at Holy Cross surrounded by her loving family.   She was born on May 8, 1936 in South Bend, IN to the late Isaac Moore and Mary Louise (Hoch) Hayden.  On December 2, 1955 in South Bend, IN she was united in marriage to the love of her life, Robert  Bruntz Sr.

Betty is survived by her loving husband of sixty-two years, Robert Bruntz, Sr.; daughter, Lori Jozwiak of South Bend, IN; two sons, Robert L. (Cynthia) Bruntz, Jr. and Keith (Jennifer) Bruntz, both of South Bend, IN; nine grandchildren, Travis Bruntz, Jeremy Bruntz, Clayton Bruntz, Keith (Leann) Bruntz, Dustin Bruntz, Alexis Jozwiak, Jessica (Ryan) Woolwine, Brandon (Yesenia) Bruntz and Angela (Brandon) Phillips; seven great grandchildren and brother, Ike (Debrah) Hayden.  She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Kevin Bruntz on April 16, 2017; sister, Nancy Alvey on July 22, 2018.

Betty was a lifelong resident and attended Mishawaka High School.  She worked in retail sales for several years at Hallmark and L.S. Ayres.  She attended Southgate Church, formerly Calvary Temple.  Betty loved spending time with her family.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St. South Bend, IN.  Rev. Paul Murray will officiate.  Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services.
