Bruce Weaver, 60 years old, passed away at 5:27 p.m. on Monday, August 13, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Bruce was born on October 13, 1957 in Mishawaka to the late Howard William and Madelyn Elaine (Wyatt) Weaver. He has been a lifelong resident of Lakeville.
Bruce was a 1976 graduate of LaVille High School. He enlisted and joined the United States Marine Corp in 1975, serving four active years and two years in the reserves. Bruce was in construction all of his life, mainly working with Papczynski Construction Company. He owned and operated Construct-a-Crete for five years.
Bruce is survived by his three children, Brandi Kai Weaver of Lakeville, Anthony Bruce “Tony” Weaver of Philipsburg, Montana, and Tristan James Weaver of Lakeville; six grandchildren, Shailen Taberski, Hunter Taberski, Andrew Weaver, Bentley Weaver, Delaney Jacoby, and Bowen Weaver; the mother of his children, Cindy Weaver of Lakeville; his companion for the past five years, Janet Rankin of South Bend; and two brothers, William Robert Weaver of Koontz Lake and Robert William Weaver of New Castle.
A celebration of Bruce’s life will be held at the American Legion Post 363, 214 N. Lake Street, Lakeville on Saturday, August 18, 2018. The gathering will begin at 12:00 noon. Military honors will take place on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. at the American Legion. Palmer Funeral Home is assisting the family.
