Bruce A. Wilson

Bruce A. Wilson, 59 years old, passed away at 9:40 a.m. on Friday, April 12, 2019 at the V.A. Northern Indiana Health Care System in Fort Wayne, IN.  Bruce was born on May 5, 1959 in South Bend and has remained a lifelong resident.  He served his country with the United States Army as a mechanic in Germany, worked as a mechanic as an occupation, and more recently with Safari Lawn Service.  Bruce was educated at the Brethren Christian Jr./Sr. High School in Osceola and attended Ivy Tech College.  He practiced the Baptist faith and was a member of the Michiana Aquatic Society. 

Bruce is survived by his mother, Jane (Gleason) Wilson of South Bend; sister, Rebecca “Becky” (Steve) Williams of Macy, IN; sister-in-law, Linda Wilson of Weaver, AL; nephews, Zachary, Andrew and Daniel Williams, and Charles “Chuck” Wilson and family; niece, Melissa Wilson-Casey and her family; cousins, David, Doug, and Susan Daron, and Barbara Mock and their families.  Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Charles P. Wilson and brother, Crist Wilson. 

Funeral services will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend.  Pastor Vito Rulli will officiate.  Friends may visit with the family from 4:00-6:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.  A military graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at Southlawn Cemetery.
