Ceilia Ann Warapius

Ceilia Ann Warapius, 85, of South Bend passed away Friday, October 4, 2019. She was born May 22, 1934 in South Bend to the late Ralph and Mona (Jackway) Coons.  On July 2, 1983 in South Bend, she married Edward P. Warapius, Sr. who preceded her in death on August 18, 2011.

Ceilia is survived by her children, Mary (Eric) Krause and Mike (Dallas) Popovich; stepchildren, Lori (Doug) Glover, Paula Hemminger, Michael (Wendy) Warapius and David (Mary) Warapius; grandchildren, Nicole, Lauren, Rachel, Kim, Ken and Crystal; and great-grandchild, Quinn. In addition to her husband and parents, Ceilia is preceded by her stepdaughter, Marge Marin; and step-son-in-law, Jimmy Hemminger.

Ceilia will lovingly be remembered as the "Queen of Correspondence".  She enjoyed sending greeting cards to her family (even her in-laws) and friends for every holiday and special occasion.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at 11 AM at St. Thérèse, Little Flower Catholic Church, 54191 N. Ironwood Rd, South Bend. Friends may visit with the family at church one hour prior to the service. Palmer Funeral Home--Hickey Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements.  Private family interment of ashes will take place at a later date at Constantine Township Cemetery in Constantine, Michigan.
