Christel Z Gardner

Christel Z. Gardner, 71 years old, passed away at 2:31 p.m. on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at her home.  Christel was born on June 24, 1945 in Darmstadt, Germany to the late Adolf and Elisabeth (Ross) Zins.  She moved to the United States in 1964 and has been a resident of Mishawaka for the past eight years.  She was loved by her family and will be missed not only by them, but her many friends as well.

Christel is survived by her three children, Mary Anne Niedziella of Darmstadt, Germany and her children, Shauna and Alisha;  Lynn (Bryan) Mayes  and their children, Jonathan, Elizabeth, and Bryan, Jr. of Fayetteville NC; and Jay C. (Amber) Gardner and their children, Jay, Jr. and Corey of South Bend.  She is also survived by her brother, Gerhard Zins of Germany and her loving dog, Baby Girl.

There will be no services or visitation.  Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, South Bend and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family with arrangements.
