Claudette Levy

Claudette Levy, 79, passed away on Friday morning, May 10, 2019 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. She was born on July 26, 1939 in Harriston, Mississippi, to Frank and Mattie (Sims) Levy, both of whom preceded her in death.

Claudette is survived by her sister, Rita Levy of South Bend; brothers, Frank (Patricia) Levy of Waldorf, MD; Howard (Jewel) Levy of South Bend; Alfred Levy of South Bend; Carl Levy of Dallas, TX; and Harold (Antonia) Levy of Glenarden, MD; several nieces and nephews; and her many beloved friends. Claudette was preceded in death by her parents as well as two brothers, James Levy and Alvin Levy.

Claudette graduated from Southwestern Michigan College and was employed as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

Claudette was a devoted member of the Baha’i Faith, serving many years as treasurer on the Spiritual Assembly of the Baha’is of South Bend. Her radiant and selfless love for everyone was apparent in all her actions.

Funeral services for Claudette will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, May 16, 2019 at Palmer Funeral Home—Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN. Graveside services and burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in South Bend. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00-11:00am on Thursday at the funeral home prior to services.
