Daniel Lee Bice, 70, residing in Edwardsburg, MI, passed away Sunday afternoon, July 19, 2015 as a result of a bicycle accident in Union, MI. He was born November 24, 1944 in Mishawaka, IN to the late Almon Alonzo and Margaret Elaine (Helm) Bice and lived most of his life in the Osceola area.
On February 17, 1968 in South Bend, Danny married Linda Sue Wylie, who survives. In addition to his loving wife of 47 years, he is survived by children, Kevin (Debbie) Bice of Osceola, Bonnie S. Herman of Edwardsburg, MI and Brian E. Bice of Elkhart; grandchildren, Cain, Shelby, Cayden, Brayden, Brandon, Nathan and Jacob; and one great grandchild on the way. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including Craig and Breezy Bice; as well as his four-legged companion, Casper. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Cameron Bice; and three brothers, Larry, Phillip and Ricky Bice.
Danny served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam era. He continued to work as a forklift driver at Universal Forest Products in Granger after 51 years. He enjoyed cycling and fishing for steelhead and loved spending time with his family, especially attending the sporting events of his grandchildren.
Funeral services for Danny will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, July 25, 2015 in the Palmer Funeral Home - Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, where friends may visit with the family for one hour prior. Graveside services and burial will follow in Southlawn Cemetery, South Bend.
