Dave-Erasto Andedo

Dave-Erasto Andedo, 32, of Granger, Indiana, passed away at his residence on Monday, November 11, 2019.

Dave was born July 27, 1987 in Nairobi, Kenya, to George and Paschalina (Ongare) Andedo.

Dave went to Hillside Academy Kampala for a British system 4 year Cambridge University Ordinary Level programme.  He was identified to sit for the 4th year examination in the third year because of his exemplary performance, graduating in 2005.  He then joined Nairobi Jaffrey Academy for the Advanced Level programme, leaving there to attend Indiana University South Bend where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

On April 13, 2012 in South Bend, he married Megan L. Smith.

Dave was a member of the Kern Road Mennonite Church.  He loved making music and dancing.

Surviving are his wife, Megan of Granger; two sons, who he loved with all of his heart, Ezra Amani Andedo and Eli Cecil Andedo, both at home.

Also surviving are his father and step-mother, George and Rosemary Andedo of Nairobi, Kenya; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Marple and Sharyn Smith of Fairview, Michigan; two sisters, Merrab Andedo of South Bend, Lynnette Andedo of South Bend; and four brothers, Tim (Edna) Andedo of South Bend, Mario Andedo of Aurora, Illinois, Erastus Andedo of Nairobi, Kenya and Edward Andedo of Nairobi, Kenya; niece, Nadia Kidiwa, niece, Janice Andedo, nephew, Nomsa Andedo, niece, Zuri Kiqadi, and many more family members and friends he considered family near and far.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Paschalina Andedo.

Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Friday, November 22, 2019 at Kern Road Mennonite Church, 18211 Kern Road, South Bend, Indiana 46614.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m.Saturday,  November 23rd at Kern Road Mennonite Church, with Pastors Dave Sutter and Jen Shenk officiating. Burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be directed to either the Andedo family to help defray funeral costs  or Kern Road Mennonite Church, 18211 Kern Road, South Bend, IN 46614, in memory of Dave Andedo to help defray funeral costs.  Any additional funds will be placed in a trust for his children’s education.
