Deborah A. Morse

Deborah Morse, 62, passed away peacefully at her home in South Bend on Thursday, April 12, 2018. Deborah was born on December 17, 1955 in Buchanan, MI to the late Myron and Aleta J. (Rolff) Place.

Deborah was a long-time resident of Michiana and was employed for many years as an LPN at Victory Clinic. Deborah was an incredibly loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She cherished spending time outdoors and loved nature. Deborah will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Deborah is survived by loved one Howard Morse; her children: Stacey J. (Joshua) Wing, Cristy A. Nettavong, Nathan A. Morse and Caleb M. Morse, all of South Bend; 16 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sisters Dawn Place of Granger, IN, Karen (Tim) Cornwell of Buchanan, MI, Cheryl (Kevin)Barnes of Mishawaka, IN and Janet (Gene) Minx of Morristown, TN; brothers Dennis (Susan) Place of Mishawaka, IN and Randall Place of TX, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Deborah was preceded in death by her son, Joshua C. Morse on August 9, 2015.  

Services for Deborah will take place on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Homes – West Chapel, 2702 Lincolnway West, South Bend. Friends may call on the family for visitation for two hours prior to service at the funeral home. Burial of ashes will take place on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Sumption Prairie Cemetery.
