Dianne Marie (McNutt) Luchowski-Tangen, 71, peacefully passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019, in her home, surrounded by her loving family. Dianne was born December 26, 1947 to Wilbur F and Helen McNutt, who both preceded her in death in South Bend, IN.
Dianne was a long-term resident of Michiana, growing up in New Carlisle, IN before moving to South Bend in 1967. She was employed by Memorial Hospital of South Bend, working mostly in the Labor and Delivery Unit. She also had the role of Union Steward for the Teamsters Local #364, where she advocated for workers rights. Dianne also spent many years in Alberta, Canada with her late husband Gerald Tangen before moving back home and taking up residence in Mishawaka, IN where she purchased her home, which she loved so much.
Dianne is survived by her loving son William (Kristie) Clark of Osceola, IN and daughter Susan (Jammie) Sweeney of Mishawaka, IN. Dianne will be terribly missed by her seven grandchildren: Tyler, Ashley, Shane, Cody, Payton, Elly and Gage; as well as her ex-husband and loving “best” friend, Robert Luchowski and her brother Terry McNutt, along with a host of extended family and friends. Dianne was preceded in death by her brother, Robert DuBois and a sister, Sharon Dubois.
Dianne loved spending time with friends and family, especially cherishing the time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed bird watching, the Green Bay Packers, NASCAR and collecting tea pots and spoons. She was a loving, kind-hearted person who always enjoyed the company of others and would do anything for anyone she could help. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
