Donny A. Cox, 59, passed away on Saturday, January 27th. Donny was born on May 21, 1958 in El Paso, TX to the late Wesley Raymond Baker II and Karen D (Peffley) Bergeron.
Donny lived in South Bend for two years, recently moving to the area from Wyoming. He was self-employed as a mechanic and was a proud father of four and grandfather to many.
Left to cherish Donny’s memories are his children: Angela Smith, Justin Cox of Elkhart, Jenni (Shannon) Brewer of Goshen and Chance Vermeiren of Montrose, Colorado. Donny is also survived by four brothers: Theodore Cox of Wisconsin, James Cox of Goshen, Steve Shannon of Elkhart and Scott Palmer of Elkhart; sister Lisa Bordagary of Wisconsin; aunts Cathy Ellsworth of Elkhart, Stephanie Baker of Oklahoma City, OK and Michelle Hartman-Torres of Elkhart; uncle Shane Wiswell of Elkhart, as well as a host of grandchildren, cousins and friends. Donny was preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service to celebrate Donny’s life is scheduled for Saturday, February 17th from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the South Bend Center for the Homeless, 813 S Michigan Street, South Bend.
