Douglas E. Cox, Sr.

Douglas Edward Cox, Sr. 56, of South Bend, IN passed away at 3:50 a.m. Thursday, May 28, 2015 at St. Vincent Hospital, Indianapolis, IN.  He was born on September 18, 1958 in South Bend, IN to Owen E. and Violet V. (Magen) Cox and remained a lifelong resident. 

Doug is survived by his children, Nick Cox of South Bend, IN, Alicia Cox of Peoria, IL, Douglas E. Cox Jr., Cory Cox, and Christopher Cox all of South Bend, IN; his mother, Violet Cox of South Bend, IN; three sisters, Deborah Cossey, Diana L. Hayden and Donna M. Mortakis; and two brothers, David Cox and Donald Cox all of South Bend, IN.   He was preceded in death by his father, Owen "Sonny" E. Cox.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 1, 2015 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan St., South Bend, IN.  Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.
