Evelyn W. Clark, 84 years old, passed away at 9:20 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17, 2018.
She was born October 31, 1933 in Bourbon, IN, a daughter of the late Henry “Ward” & Dorothy Y. (Hall) Sellers, and has lived in this area all of her life.
On December 28, 1952 in Bourbon, IN, Evelyn was united in marriage to Loren “Keith” Clark. Together, they enjoyed 63 years of marriage until his passing on August 22, 2016. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Andrew Hipsher on October 5, 2012, and her brother, Lester Sellers on Sept. 22, 2017.
Evelyn is survived by her five children, Brenna (Steven) Hipsher of South Bend; Lena (Greg) Hipsher of Elkhart, Renita (Keith) Troyer of Elkhart, Stanley (Kim) Clark, of North Liberty, and Leslie (Aileen) Clark, of North Liberty. Also surviving are fifteen grandchildren, Aaron (Diane) Hipsher, Brian (Katie) Hipsher, Stephanie Szajko, Adam (Courtney) Hipsher, Ryan (Megan) Flickinger, Renae (Eric) Almony, Philip (Olivia) Flickinger, Ariel Clark, Ashley Clark, Joshua (Katie) Boren, Bradley Clark, Matthew Clark, Sheila (Kenny Tinkel) Troyer, Joe (Jen) Troyer, and Darrel (Misty) Troyer, along with Andrew’s wife, Angie (Joey) Williams, 30 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Marilyn Houin of Plymouth.
Evelyn graduated from Bourbon High School. She retired in 1995 from Wirecraft in Lakeville where she worked for 15 years. She was a longtime faithful member of Pine Creek Church of the Brethren in North Liberty where she served as Deacon, and was active with the Women’s Fellowship. She was a former leader at the St. Joseph County 4-H Fair.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Pine Creek Church of the Brethren, 69531 Pine Road, North Liberty, IN. Graveside services and burial will follow at Fair Cemetery, North Liberty, IN. Family and friends may gather on Friday, Sept. 21 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Pine Creek Church of the Brethren, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Arrangements for the Clark family are under the care and direction of the Palmer Funeral Home-Lakeville Chapel.
