Evelyn M. Newcomer

Evelyn Newcomer Kimball, 91, of Plymouth, IN passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018. Evelyn was born on August 29, 1926 in Lakeville, IN to the late Edward and Addie (Sheneman) Hanson. On August 28, 1954 Evelyn married Melvin Newcomer, who preceded her in death on January 19, 1991. She later married Albert Gordon Kimball on July 15, 2002. He preceded her in death in November of 2013.

Evelyn worked as a bookkeeper for Associates, retiring after working with them for 25 years. She attended St. John’s Lutheran Church in North Liberty as well as Trinity Lutheran Church in Kissimmee, FL. She was a square dancer and volunteered at Orlando Hospital for 10 years.

Evelyn is survived by her son, Michael (Brenda) Newcomer of Plymouth, IN; daughter-in-law Connie Folk of Plymouth; four grandchildren, Carmen (Dino) Piraccini, Kelly Arce, Melissa Lynn, and Rebecca (David) Connell; and nine great-grandchildren. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Kenneth Folk; and two brothers, Fred (Celina) Hanson and Harold Hanson.

Funeral services for Evelyn will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, North Liberty, IN. Friends my visit with the family on Monday, March 19 from 5 – 8 PM at Palmer Funeral Home in Lakeville, IN as well as for 1 hour prior to services at the church.
