Gregory J Langel

Gregory Langel passed away in his home surrounded by loved ones after a brief illness.

Greg was born in South Bend on June 16th, 1955 to the late Delores (Kniola) and Julius Langel. A lifelong resident of South Bend, Greg graduated from LaSalle High School in 1973. Greg married Carole Gray on September 15th 1978 and from that union had two children, Candace Langel and Camille (Carl) Mankowski; both from South Bend. Greg is survived by his wife and children; siblings Christine (Bruce) Cramer of Glendale AZ and Victor (Pamela) Langel of Tacoma, WA; two nieces, Amy (Scott) Novotny of WA and Peggy (Jeremy) Kellogg of WA; two nephews, Brett and Colin Cramer both of AZ, and four grandchildren: Alexis, Angelle and Brian Synder and David Mankowski.

A devout Jehovah’s Witness, Greg was a very active member of the organization, regularly attended weekly meetings and never missed an opportunity to share his faith with those who would listen. This deep spiritual commitment brought him a close relationship with fellow Witnesses, whom the family would like to thank for their support and comfort.

A memorial service will be given on July 20th at 12 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses-Chain ‘O Lakes 26807 US Highway 20 South Bend, IN 46628. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society or to the donor's choice.
