Helen C. Brown

Helen C. Brown, 80 years old, passed away at 12:40 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the home of her son, Raymond.  Helen was born on September 8, 1937 in Paxton, IN to the late Robert and Florence (Dugan) Vester.  She has lived most of her life in LaPorte and South Bend.  On August 9, 1969 in LaPorte, Helen and Raymond H. Brown, Jr. were united in marriage.  Raymond preceded her in death on September 21, 2013.  One sister, Mary Lowdenslager also preceded Helen in death.

Helen is survived by her three children, Denisa L. Kurtz of Mishawaka, Randall T. (Marivic) Brown of Sunbright, TN, and Raymond H. (Pamela) Brown, III of Bremen; five grandchildren, Christopher Forest, Ryan T. Kurtz, Aurora Brown, Mason Brown, and Cale Brown; and three sisters, Barbara Smeltzer and Louise King, both of LaPorte, and Betty Burkhardt of Houston, TX. 

A private funeral service for Helen will be held on Saturday morning, July 7, 2018 at the Palmer Funeral Home-Guisinger Chapel, 3718 S. Michigan Street, South Bend.  Chaplain Linda DeHahn will officiate.  Burial will take place in Pine Lake Cemetery, LaPorte.
