James "Jim" E McCrum

James “Jim” McCrum, age 77, of South Bend, IN passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017. Jim was a groundskeeper at Park Jefferson Apartments from 1976 until his retirement in 2005.

Jim was born May 22, 1940 in Mishawaka, IN to Earl and Pauline (Kraus) McCrum. On April 20, 1963, he married Prisceilla A. Nordblad, who preceded Jim in death on February 24, 2012. Jim is survived by his niece Judy (Edward) DeCraene; brother Robert McCrum of Mishawaka; and good friend Dan (Nikki) Clements of Elkhart, IN.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 12 o’clock noon at Palmer Funeral Home River Park, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615. Chaplain Carole McCollester of Sanctuary at St. Paul’s will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 10:00am-12:00pm at the funeral home prior to the service. Burial will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola, IN. Memorial contributions in honor of Jim may be given to Lupus Foundation of America, 9302 N.
