There is a quote that says “Live your life, do your work then take your hat”. Jesse R. Lottie was born in South Bend, IN to Verline Wilson and Ricardo Lottie on February 21, 1978. Jesse did just that. He lived, he worked and then he took his hat on May 4, 2019 in the wee hours of the morning. He attended Tolleston Middle School in Gary, IN where he played on the Brunswick Summer League baseball team. He later moved on to Navarre Intermediate and Washington High School in South Bend, IN. Jesse was a man of many hats: a son, a brother, a father of three, a husband, a fisherman, a businessman, a comedian and a beloved friend to many. He was a fun-loving and genuine kind of guy that loved and enjoyed spending time with his family, children and friends. His majestic smile was infectious and as big as his golden heart. Jesse and his humble spirit will truly be missed.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Robert and Juanita Wilson; his paternal grandparents, William F. and Florence E. Collins; his paternal great-grandmother, Lenex Hayes; aunts Crystal L. Hudson and Clara Lurks; an uncle, William “Billy” Brooks; two cousins, Jeremy White and Shawki Henderson.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents, Verline Wilson and Ricardo Lottie; three children: Jessiyah, Jesse Jr. and Jesstin Lottie; brother Jason (Kania) Lottie, Sir (Tasheca) Brown; seven sisters: Angela Wilson, Marquita Lottie of Las Vegas, NV, Tamora Lottie of California, Tamika (James Spank) Bond, Tanisha (Chester) Wigfall, Latosha Lottie and Omeisha (Marquis) Bond of Harrisburg, NC; the love of his life, Dwann Lottie; as well as a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles and his Lake Side for Life family.
