John Edward Cassler

John Edward Cassler, 67, passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis, IN. He was born on August 12, 1950 in South Bend, IN, to Edward and Betty Mae (Hess) Cassler, both of whom preceded him in death.

John is survived by son, Ryan M. Cassler of South Bend, IN; two daughters, Haley Cassler of Iowa, and Ashley Cassler of Massachusetts; his companion, Kathy Tirotta and her children, Paul Tirotta, Michelle (Allen) Hardison, and Adam (Andrea) Tirotta; a host of grandchildren; sisters, Victoria Blakely of South Bend, and Nancy (Walter) Singleton of Mishawaka, IN; and brother, Gary Cassler of South Bend. John was preceded in death by sister, Linda Simpson, and brother, Richard Cassler.

John was employed as a machinist at Uniroyal. He also was a machine operator at Faurecia.

A memorial service for John will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, May 26, 2018 at Palmer Funeral Home—Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN. Pastor Bob Vale will officiate. Friends may visit with the family from 2:00-3:00pm on Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home.
