Joseph Walter Fisher

Joseph Walter Fisher, 68, residing in North Liberty, Indiana passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 at his home.

Joseph was born on November 10, 1950 LaPorte, IN to the late Osborne Fisher and Lela (Caroll) Fisher, and was the President of his North Liberty High School Senior Class, graduating in 1969.  He also attended Western Michigan University.  Joseph was also actively involved with the Liberty Township 4H Club.  Joseph retired from AM General after 30 years of employment, and also worked at Allis Chalmers Tractor Supply Company. 

On June 13, 1981, at Pine Creek Church of the Brethren, North Liberty, he was united in marriage to Lynda (Richmond) Fisher, who survives.  He is also survived by sons, Jason Fisher of North Liberty and Jess (Samantha) Fisher of Lakeville; grandchildren, Layne, Dax, Ila, Colten, and Payten; and his brother, James Fisher of South Bend.  Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Osborne and Lela Fisher; and his brother, Thomas Fisher.

Celebration of Life for Joseph will be held on Saturday December 8, 2018 at 11:00 am at Lakeville United Methodist Church, 610 North Michigan Street, Lakeville, IN 46536.  Pastor Brian White will be officiating. A carry in luncheon will follow immediately following his funeral service. Palmer Funeral Home North Liberty is assisting the family with arrangements.
