Judith Gardner Obituary

Judith A. Gardner, 79 years old passed on Monday, September 16, 2019 at The Center for Hospice Care. Judith was born on February 29, 1940 in South Bend to the late Charles U. and Minna D. (Strom) Gardner. Judy is a graduate of James Whitcomb Riley High School in South Bend. Judy was in banking in South Bend. She has also resided in Farmington Hills, MI and Atlanta, GA where she was employed by Stone Container Corporation. In spite of Judy’s own health issues she was a loyal and dedicated caregiver for her mother, Minna and her brother Duane.

Judith is survived by her daughter, Robin (Porter) Jaworski of South Bend; grandchildren. Tracy Ellen (Dan) Banacki, Jane Judith Kovach; great grandchildren, Ava Jade Banacki and brothers, Duane Gardner of South Bend, and Jan (Celia) Gardner of Atlanta, GA; Niece Jennifer Dixon, and great nieces Katie, Molly, Grace and Maggie Dixon all of Manhattan, KS; and nephew Kevin Gardner of Atlanta, GA.

Palmer Funeral Home – Guisinger Chapel will be assisting the family as they plan a private gathering at a later date.
