Julia A. Mann

Julia A. Mann, 87 years old, peacefully passed away at 5:40am on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at the Darden Homes, South Bend.  Mrs. Mann was born on June 16, 1930 in South Bend to the late Wayne and Adah (Andereck) Sarber.  She has remained a lifelong resident.  On August 22, 1948 in South Bend, Julia and Carl E. Mann were united in marriage.  Carl preceded her in death on July 21, 2001.  One brother, Wayne Sarber, also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Mann is survived by her three children, Brenda Statzer of South Bend, Steven (Janet) Mann of Ft. Collins, CO, and Michael (Connie) Mann of Wooster, OH; eight grandchildren, Kris Mann, Laura McNabb, Jeff Mann, Krista Theys, Jessica Statzer, Julia Statzer, Jasmine Statzer, and Joshua Statzer; fifteen great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and one sister, Janet Ray of Tucson, AZ.

Mrs. Mann was a faithful member of the First Brethren Church in South Bend.  She enjoyed her career as a registered nurse, predominantly with Hospice of St. Joseph County. 

Per Julia’s request, there will be no services or visitation.  A private burial will be held at Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend.  Palmer Funeral Home—Lakeville Chapel and Southlawn Cremation Services are assisting the family.
