Kenneth Wayne Milner

April 19, 1944 ~ October 7, 2017 (age 73) 73 Years Old

Kenneth Wayne Milner, age 73, residing in North Liberty, Indiana, passed away at 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at his home.  Kenneth was born on April 19, 1944 in South Bend to the late Kenneth and Evelyn (Clevenger) Milner.  His step-father, Robert H. Milner also preceded him in death.   Kenneth has lived in North Liberty for the past 52 years.   On April 24, 1965 in South Bend, Kenneth and Helen Mae Hoida were united in marriage.  Helen preceded him in death on June 9, 2017. 

Kenneth is survived by his three children, Christine (Michael) Doan of South Bend, Kimberly (Jerome) Sodowsky of Logansport, and James S. (Connie) Long of North Liberty;  six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren;  two sisters, Esther Costello and Hope May, both of South Bend; and his brother, Robert (Mary) Milner of Walkerton.

Kenneth attended St. Mary’s National Catholic Church, PNCC in South Bend, with his wife.  He proudly served his country with the United States Marine Corps.  Kenneth retired in 1995 as the plant manager for Harris Manufacturing and then was employed with South Bend Toy and Jack Post, Buchanan, MI. 

Friends may visit with the family from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at the Palmer Funeral Home, 202 N. Main Street, North Liberty, IN where military honors will be held at 7:00 p.m.  A private interment will be held at Porter Rae Cemetery, within Potato Creek State Park, North Liberty.  

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Kenneth W. Milner may be donated to Heart to Heart Hospice, 620 W. Edison Road, Suite 122, Mishawaka, IN  46545.  Online condolences may be offered to the Milner family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
