Kevin J. Johnson

Kevin J. Johnson, 51, residing in South Bend, Indiana passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019 at Memorial Hospital, South Bend.

Kevin was born on January 12, 1968 in Lincoln, Nebraska as George Taulbee, III, and moved at an early age to the Mishawka area, where he has been a lifelong resident.  Kevin was affectionately known by his nickname "Chip" to family and friends.  Chip worked for many years with United Van Lines Moving Company.  His real passion in life was dumpster diving and sharing his treasures with his relatives, friends, and church family.  He attended Christian Life Center, South Bend.

Kevin was married on September 21, 2003 to Lauri (Putz) Johnson, who survives.  He is also survived by his mother, Claire Deal of Elkhart.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, August 17, 2019 at Christian Life Center, 1717 Hickory Road, South Bend, IN 46635.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of donor’s choice.  Palmer Funeral Home River Park Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
