Larry G. Rogers

Larry G. Rogers, 81, beloved husband, dad, grandpa, and friend to many, passed away peacefully Monday, December 10, 2018 at Memorial Hospital.

Larry was born November 8, 1937 in Plymouth, Indiana, to the late Dorrance and Ada Mae (Goss) Rogers.

On June 1, 1982 in Warsaw, Indiana, Larry married the former Beverly D. Chapman, who survives.

Larry was a delivery driver for AmeriFleet.  He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in South Bend.  Larry loved any kind of sports and was lucky enough to be able to attend a Cubs game during the World Series in 1945.

Surviving is her loving wife of thirty-six years; Beverly D. Rogers, four daughters; Debra (Leonard) Nielsen, Denise Rogers, Sara (Tim) McAlexander and Erin (Jason) Bumgardner, and a son; David Rogers.  Also surviving are his six grandchildren; Kent Nielsen, Adele Crouch, Zachary Rogers, Mikayla Bumgardner, Chelsea Bumgardner and Megan McAlexander, and a sister; Judy Cromer.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the First Church of the Nazarene, 51690 Ironwood Drive, South Bend, Indiana 46635 with Pastor Andy Lauer officiating.

Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 AM until time of service on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the church.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be directed to the First Church of the Nazarene.  Envelopes will be provided at the church.
