Lawrence “Larry” A. Betz

Lawrence A. "Larry" Betz, age 75 passed away on November 29, 2018 at I.U. Health University Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. Larry was born on January 6, 1943 in South Bend to Lawrence R. and Irene (Quinn) Betz. On September 25, 1965 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church he married Sharon Lowry. 

Larry retired from A.M. General after 30 years of service. He was a loving husband and father, but the part of life he enjoyed the most was his grandchildren. He also enjoyed farming and old tractors.

Larry is survived  by his wife of 53 years, Sharon Betz; his daughter -in-law,  Denise Betz of South Bend; and his grandsons, David (Elizabeth Fisher)Kruk, Curtis Betz and William Betz all of South Bend. He is also survived by his brother, David (Theresa) Betz of South Bend, IN. Larry was preceded in death by his parents and his son Todd Betz on December 28, 2001.

Friends may visit with family on Monday December 3, 2018 from 4:00pm- 8:00pm at Palmer Funeral-Community Complex, 601 North Michigan Street, Lakeville, IN 46536. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00am at the Palmer Funeral Home-Community Complex. Burial with military honors will follow at Sumption Prairie Cemetery in South Bend following his funeral service.  Memorial donations may be made in Larry's memory to Disabled American Veterans, 1205 Middleton Run Road, Elkhart, IN 46516.
