Lee Roy Hickey

Lee Roy Hickey, 64, passed away on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at Signature Healthcare in South Bend, IN. He was born on August 20, 1953 in South Bend to Melvin Hickey, Jr., and Wava Marie (Ruggles) Hickey, both of whom preceded him in death.

On March 28, 1981 in South Bend, Lee married the Elizabeth Ann (Paxson) Hickey, who survives. He is also survived by daughter, Michele (Steve) Gehring of Mishawaka; son, Ryan Hickey of South Bend; four grandchildren, Cole VanTornhout of Mishawaka; Aden and Livy Gehring, both of Mishawaka; and Treyven Conklin of Grand Rapids, MI. In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by sister, Sharon Kinzie.

Lee was employed as a sheet metal journeyman in commercial construction. He served his country honorably in the United States Army.

Friends may visit with the family from 6:00-8:00pm on Friday, April 13, 2018 at Palmer Funeral Home—Hickey Chapel, 17131 Cleveland Road, South Bend, IN. Graveside services and burial will be held at 1:00pm on Monday, April 16 at Highland Cemetery in South Bend.
