Lee Ann Stuart

SOUTH BEND – Lee Ann Stuart, 82, residing in South Bend, Indiana passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Hamilton Grove Retirement Community, New Carlisle.

Lee Ann was born on June 9, 1936 in South Bend to the late Oscar Simon and Hazel (Cochran) Simon, and has lived in the area for most of her life, graduating from Niles High School, Niles, MI.  On June 18, 1955 in South Bend, she was united in marriage to Calvin L. Stuart, who survives.  They were married for 63 years.  She is also survived by her daughters, Terri Nelson of South Bend, IN and Lori (Eric) Vance of St. Joseph, MI; eleven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.  Lee Ann was preceded in death by her sons, Calvin Stuart, Jr. and Scott Allen Stuart; sisters, Josephine Atherton, Esther Johnson, and Thelma Flanagan; and brother, Victor Simon.

Lee Ann was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed working with HODA.  Lee Ann worked in sales at L.S. Ayres, retiring in 1999.  She attended Gospel Center Missionary Church, South Bend for the past thirty plus years.

Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 4:00 PM till 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 12 Noon until the 1:00 PM Funeral Service at Palmer Funeral Home-River Park Chapel, 2528 Mishawaka Ave., South Bend, IN 46615.  Graveside Services will follow at Highland Cemetery, South Bend.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of choice.  Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com.
