Mary Ellen Klingerman

Mary Ellen Klingerman, residing in Wakarusa, IN, formerly of Lakeville and Bremen, passed away at 11:10 a.m. Monday,  January 8, 2018 at Miller's Merry Manor in Wakarusa, at the age of 90 years.  She was born June 30, 1927 in St. Joseph County, IN, a daughter of Omer C. & Mary R. (Summers) Mangus, and has remained a lifelong resident of this area. 

On December 31, 1947 in St. Joseph County, she was united in marriage to Arthur Klingerman. They enjoyed nearly 55 years of marriage until his passing on October 7, 2002.  She was also preceded in death by a sister, Claire Kleiner of New Jersey, and her brother, Quinten Mangus.

Mrs. Klingerman is survied by her daughter, Kathryn A. (Dr. Frank) Snyder of Bremen, IN; and her three sons, Stephen E. (Betty) Klingerman of Plymouth, IN; David J. (Linda) Klingerman of Elkhart, IN; and Mark L. (Jackie) Klingerman of Plymouth, IN.  Also surviving are seven grandchildren, Angela (John) Day, Ginger Mosier, Andrew (Becky) Klingerman, Michael (Alana) Klingerman, Ben (Amy) Snyder, Leslie (Monty) Singh, and Joe (Lisa) Snyder, nineteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, along with a step-brother, Don (Marie) VanOsdol of Florida, and a very special niece Judy Kleiner of New Jersey who was just like a daughter to her.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 13th, at the Nappanee Missionary Church, Nappanee.  Burial will be at Fair Cemetery, North Liberty.
