Norine “Renee” Isbell, 95, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018 in her residence surrounded by her loving family.
Renee was born July 31, 1923 in Lynn, Arkansas, to the late Fred and Lucille (Adair) Martin.
On July 26, 1958 in South Bend, Renee married Floyd Isbell; he preceded her in death on January 8, 2016.
She had worked at New York Central Depot in South Bend. She retired from Krizman after fifteen years of service.
She loved gardening, flowers, shopping and playing cards with her family.
Surviving is a daughter; Jana Sue (Sean) Carney of Lakeville, son; Dale Aldridge of Elkhart, two grandchildren; Tara Funderburk and Jessica (Chris) Ake, three great-grandchildren; Brian, Alex, Bianca, two half-sisters; Mary Peterson of Florida, Brenda Slocum of Kalamazoo, Michigan and a half-brother; Tony Martin of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Also surviving are Terry (Marsha) Pryer of Granger, Diana Robbins of Mishawaka, Ronnie Pryer of Mishawaka, and seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and eleven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Floyd, four brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be at on Thursday, October 18, 2018 at 2:00 PM at the Palmer Funeral Home- Guisinger Chapel, 3718 South Michigan Street, South Bend, with Pastor David Szymczak officiating. Friends may call from 12:00 PM until time of service on Thursday at the funeral home.
Burial will follow at the Southlawn Cemetery.
