Patricia Mortakis Obituary

Patricia Ann was born on January 7, 1932 to the late Bernice (Burgener) and Ward Farrar in Mishawaka, Indiana.  On September 10, 1955, at North Liberty United Methodist Church, she married William James Mortakis, who died in 1995.  Also preceding her in death was her brother, John William "Jack" Farrar.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, John (Ann Carol Nash) Mortakis, her daughter, Karen (Alan) Ruihley, her grandchildren, Josh Ruihley and Kalan (Kent) Walters, step grandchildren, Anna Simons and Sara (Ross) Wagner and great grandchildren, Sloan and Piper Wagner.  She is also survived by her brother, Richard Farrar of Oro Valley, Arizona.

Pat was a lifelong dedicated member of North Liberty United Methodist Church and especially active with the United Methodist Women.  She volunteered at the Treasure Chest, a ministry of the church.  She was a member of the North Liberty Homemakers Club, but her main vocation was her family, who will always remember her kindness, generosity and quirky sense of humor.

A brief service followed by a gathering in celebration of Pat's life will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Tippecanoe Place Restaurant, 620 West Washington, South Bend, IN.  Palmer Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Memorial gifts may be made to the North Liberty United Methodist Church, 103 S. Main Street, North Liberty, IN 46554.  Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.palmerfuneralhomes.com
